This blog chronicles the lives of the Caffee Clan: Brian, Kelly, Josh, Jason, Lauren and Katelyn as we navigate life as a large, loud, military family that lives on the verge of complete chaos! I'm Kelly, AKA "Mom", "Mama", "Babe" or the "1SG's wife", I am 37, a stay-at-home-mom that dreams of someday working in the marketing field. I love photography, scrap booking, healthy eating and cooking, my family, music and dancing!! I have a fetish for gross medical stuff, like unusual diseases or strange growths, and sometimes I wish I was a midwife. As you read, you might notice that I have an slight obsession with cleaning and germ-avoidance, but do not fret, I am aware and I am working on it. And I love making lists! I have lots of opinions about lots of things and this is what is represented here! I'm not always right (wait, I'm NOT??) but I always have something to say!!!

The place we will finally call home!

I am so excited to let you all know that we have been put on assignment to Fort Carson, CO! Our report date is May 10th, so our target for departing Guam is May 1st, but it may very well happy by April 10th if we have to get back and find the kids a school! Wow! I love military life, but sometimes it gets SUPER crazy! We have decided that this is it for us - our last move (with the Army) and if we can find our forever home, it'll be our last move ever! So that said, I am going to give my non- military friends a glimpse inside a military move! I'm going to blog the whole thing! It'll be different from my blogs about moving here because I'm going to show you ALL the ins and outs and details and stress and joys and stress, oh did I mention stress? In the last 15 years, we've moved 12 times! Let's see what number 13 has in store!!!

  1. Whoot! My bro is stationed at Ft. Carson and I'll be heading up to see him before we PCS out of New Mexico. Might cross paths since you should be there around the time I'll be there. Good luck! I'll be working on our (thankfully) stateside PCS. Much easier than overseas... that was our last one. :)
